Bart van Holsteijn is a researcher at the International Institute for Social History. He completed a Research Master’s in history at Utrecht University and spent a semester as research intern at the Bonn Center for Dependency & Slavery Studies (BCDSS). He is currently working on a project on the history of the Insinger Stichting, a charitable foundation based in Amsterdam, tracing its relationship to slavery.
