Anne Ornstein

Receptionist

Anne did her bachelor studies in sociology at the Vrije Universiteit and obtained a master's degree in philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. During her master studies, she was particularly interested in the Philosophy of Religion, Jewish Philosophy and Existentialism. After her graduation, she worked for three years at the Municipality of Amsterdam, where she assisted people with a disability to find suitable work. Since 2023, she is one of the receptionists of the IISG and the KNAW. 

Besides her reception work, Anne follows up on her studies by writing articles for the Dutch Jewish Weekly and giving lectures in Jewish philosophy.

As a receptionist, Anne makes sure that visitors are feeling welcomed and that they are well informed. She also makes sure your phone call is transferred to the right person.
