Sabine Groenewegen

Researcher

Sabine Groenewegen is a filmmaker, artist and researcher. Her work explores the history of the present and challenging inherited silences. Her award-winning features and shorts have been exhibited at festivals and institutions such as Doclisboa, ICA, Bozar, FIDMarseille, Festival dei Popoli and Jihlava, Cinéma du Reél, and EYE Filmmuseum. At IISH she works on the project Colonial Contract Laborers and Collective Action in the Dutch Empire.
