Teun van Kasteel has been working as a student assistant for the HUB Global Labour Conflicts since September 2023. He studied History and Slavonic studies and is currently doing a Research Master in History at the University of Amsterdam. He combines labour-historical and media-historical approaches in studying the agency, resistance, and framing of indentured labourers in colonial Indonesia.
