Introduction to archival research
On Fridays we offer onsite learning workshops for interested groups that want to work with the collections of the IISH.
During this workshop, we give an introduction to the history and mission of the institute. We also explain how our collection is formed and made accessible, and how to use our catalogue. We also show you the best ways to handle and request materials. With these workshops, we aim to deepen understanding of evidence and primary sources and to help develop research skills.
Keep in mind:
- To apply 4 weeks in advance via firstname.lastname@example.org
- Duration: max. 2.5 hours
- We accommodate group sizes of min. 5 and max. 20 persons, including a supervisor
- If you want to see or use specific documents for this workshop, the documents should be requested no later than one week in advance.
At the moment we are developing free online workshops so we can virtually come to you. If you are interested, please contact the Public Services staff at email@example.com to inquire about possibilities and progress.
