Social and Economic Inequality

Various forms of social and economic inequality are the the focus in this cluster.  Some address categorical/durable inequality,  which can reinforce other forms of inequality, in relation to coerced labour relations.    For instance the role of categorisation in enslavement, the exclusion of immigrants from the city and its labour market and unequal access to education.  Other projects address unequal regional demographics and economic and infrastructural developments.
