Wietse Karst

Student Assistant

Wietse Karst has been working as a student assistant for the HisGIS project since March of 2025. His work consists of localizing, collecting and processing specific cadastral documents from archives all across the Netherlands. Wietse studied History at the University of Groningen and is currently doing a master's in Landscape History in Groningen as well. He is interested in Dutch political history and its relationship with modern agriculture and rural landscapes.
