Studied History at the University of Leiden. Made a career in digitizing, digital preservation and digital heritage at the Dutch national library (KB), Digital Heritage Netherlands (DEN ) and the Stadsarchief Amsterdam. He started working at the IISH in 2016 at the Collections department. In his role as a digital archivist, he is responsible for the implementation of processing workflows for digital material, the certification of the digital repository (Core Trust Seal) and the preservation of the digital collections.
