Studied History at the University of Leiden. He started working at the IISH in 2017 at the Collections department. In his role as a digital archivist he is responsible for:
- Implementation of Archivematica digital archiving software
- Writing of a preservation policy plan
- DSA certification of the digital repository
- Streamlining of digital archiving workflows
- Advise and assist archive creators on the transfer of digital collections to the IISH
- Advise on digital preservation in general
