Laura Lubbers works as a Junior Researcher at the IISH. She contributes to the project ‘Women Forward with Network V', a collaborative initiative between the IISH and the Dutch trade union FNV. This project aims to advance gender equality in the workplace by establishing, supporting, and researching women’s networks. Her research examines historical labour activism by women, with a particular focus on the activism of migrant women, utilizing archival research and oral history.
Laura obtained both her Bachelor’s and a Research Master’s degree in History at the University of Amsterdam. Previously, she operated as a freelance curator, writer, and radio producer for the NPO and various museums. Her academic interests encompass gender history, urban history, and architectural history.
