Revista Latinoamericana de Trabajo y Trabajadores just published in open access
A new journal on Latin American labour history just launched in open access.
Revista Latinoamericana de Trabajo y Trabajadores is put together by a network of scholars throughout Latin America. With the support of the IISH in collaboration with the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies.
The journal aims to bring together research with diverse views and perspectives about and from Latin America. It draws upon a conceptualization of labour history in the long term (16th to 21st centuries), thus overcoming several dichotomies (such as the division between the studies of the ‘classic’ industrial and waged workers and those dedicated to slavery and other forms of coactive work) and exploring a variety of socio-economic systems, as well as the diverse non-evolutionary continuum of coactive labour and labour regimes that bring together informal and popular activities.
It includes articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and the entire website is fully navigational in the three languages. It is published in Open Access (OJS 3), and is available here: https://revista.redlatt.org/.
The call for articles and reviews for issue #2 is now open. The deadline for sending full manuscripts is 31 January 2021. Those interested in sending a proposal can consult the instructions for authors.
