Presentations new Global Slavery History Fellows

Please join us in welcoming the second group of fellows of the Global Slavery Fellowship programme. They will be conducting research into the Dutch involvement in the transatlantic and Southeast Asian slave trade and slave labour.

The four fellows are Wisaal Abrahams, Thanya Fonkel, Shereen Lafhaj and Rupsa Nag and will give a presentation on their research project starting at 14:30. Other colleagues and interested parties are warmly invited to join.

Programme

  • Opening and welcome by Leo Lucassen
  • Short presentations from participating institutions about current projects or activities in the field of (dealing with) the history of slavery, and the role and significance of the fellowship programme in this.
  • Short presentations from the four fellows
  • Room for discussion/brainstorming
