IISH Annual Report 2019

In 2019 the IISH operated according to the Strategic Plan for 2018-2023, as it was adopted in late 2018. In this period the institute will optimize its impact on scholarship and society. The objectives include: (1) continue our pioneering scholarship, (2) become more socially involved and (3) advance technologically. To this end, we need to be (4) a resilient organization that is (5) fully dedicated to partnership in networks. This annual report reflects our progress toward these five objectives.

Over the course of the year the IISH Research Department leveraged its global edge in scholarship thanks to several major publications on the history of work.
