Recap ESSHC
The 15th European Social Science History Conference took place in Leiden from 26 to 29 March! During these four days of the conference, there were more than 1500 visitors and participants in around 400 different panel sessions.
In addition to the panel discussions, there was also a well-attended book fair with various publishers, where the IISH also had its own stand. Visitors could take home free postcards or a handmade button. IISH staff members Henk Looijesteijn and Britt van Duijvenvoorde also organised walking tours of the stands, and Rombert Stapel kicked off the first day of the conference with an early morning jogging route. We met many happy and enthusiastic participants and look forward to organising another great conference in Lyon in two years' time!
