This seventh issue of On the Waterfront devotes more attention than the previous ones to the history of the Institute itself.

In particular the items on “Annie” and “Feltrinelli” are about recently discovered sources that have become available to the IISH from the 1930s to the 1950s.

In addition, this issue features the first extensive report on the Friends’ research project “Women’s work in the Netherlands, 1500-1850”.
